Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Clear Jelly Stamper?
A Clear Jelly Stamper is a specially designed nail stamping tool that lets you see exactly where you're placing your nail art design — making it easy to achieve perfectly placed, layered nail art every time.
Unlike traditional stampers, the cylinder and head are see-through, so you can line up each image with precision. It was invented by Clear Jelly Stamper (that’s us!) and changed the nail stamping world forever.
How does Nail Stamping work?
Nail stamping is a fun and easy way to transfer detailed designs onto your nails using a stamping plate, polish, and a stamper. Here’s how it works:
1. Pick a plate with the design you want — they’re etched with tiny images made just for stamping.
2. Use a highly pigmented stamping polish to cover the image you want.
3. Use a scraper to swipe away extra polish, leaving it only in the grooves of the design.
4. Roll or press your Clear Jelly Stamper over the design — it picks up the polish perfectly.
5. Line it up (you can see through the clear stamper!) and gently press it onto your nail.
6. Finish with a top coat — and enjoy your stunning stamped nail art!
What is Layered Stamping?
nstead of stamping just one image, layered stamping lets you:
1. Stamp a base shape (like a flower petal)
2. Add details (like an outline or center)
3. Use different colors for each layer
4. Line it all up perfectly using a clear stamper
This creates nail art that looks intricate and hand-painted — with very little effort!
How do I Clean My Stamper?
How to Clean Your Clear Stamper:
1. Gently press your stamper onto a Sticky Pad (or lint roller) to lift off leftover polish and debris. This is the safest and easiest method!
2. Never use acetone or harsh cleaners — they can cloud, dry out, or damage the clear stamping head.
3. If you must remove stubborn bits, lightly dab with a bit of rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth — but only occasionally and never soak it.
4. When you're not using it, pop the cap on to protect it from dust and scratches.
I'm New to Stamping - Can I still do this?
Absolutely — yes, you can totally do this! 💅✨
Nail stamping looks fancy, but it's super beginner-friendly — especially with our Clear Jelly Stamper system. Whether you’re new to nail art or can’t draw a stick figure, stamping makes it easy to create gorgeous, pro-looking designs right from home.
How do I store my Clear Jelly Stamper?
1. Store using their protective caps that are included with your stamper.
2. Store out of direct sunlight.
3. Store multiple heads separately so they don't fuse together!
What does "5-free" mean?
Clear Jelly Stamper's nail stamping polish is '5-free'. This means that it does not contain 5 of the most common harmful chemicals.
CAMPHOR: In rare cases, camphor can cause liver damage when applied to the skin. And nail biters be warned— it’s been linked to seizures when ingested.
DIBUTYL PHTHALATE: An endocrine disruptor, dibutyl phthalate is toxic to the reproductive system, and can affect a baby boy’s genitalia development. Plus, it’s been linked to obesity.
FORMALDEHYDE: A known carcinogen that can also cause organ and immune system toxicity, formaldehyde is an ingredient to avoid at all costs.
FORMALDEHYDE RESIN: This formaldehyde derivative may not be as toxic, but it’s a known allergen, and can cause skin irritations, as well as eye and lung irritation (and we know we all inhale some nail-polish fumes when we’re swiping on color).
TOLUENE: Toluene not only impairs breathing and can cause nausea, but it’s also toxic to the nervous system, can cause developmental damage to a fetus and is linked to malignant lymphoma.
