How To Use Your Clear Jelly Stamper
1.Set up your supplies
Your set up should include the following items.
- Prepped or polished nail that is dry.
- Good quality stamping polish! Our stamping polish is designed to work perfectly with our clear stampers.
- Your Clear Jelly Stamper and scraper, of course!
- Your favorite CJS Layered Stamping Plate with the blue film removed
- A CjS Sticky Pad to clean your stamper, CjS Plate Cleaner to clean your plate and scraper and scotch tape (if desired!)
- CjS PROtect for easy cuticle clean-up.
- CjS Big Bling brush or Pretty in Pink brush for tidying up if required.
- Your favorite topcoat or gel topcoat.
2. Always clean your stamper and plates before starting, to remove any dust or oils that may have been transferred during storage.
3. Apply cuticle PROtect to the cuticle around the nail for easy clean up.
4. Mix your stamping polish well before you apply a small amount onto the stamping plate over the image you are lifting.
5. Scrape off the excess polish holding your scraper at a 45-degree angle. Scrape lightly! The direction you scrape will depend on the plate and the image you are using. Try different directions of scraping to get your perfect result. It's important to move to the next step quickly! Don't let the polish left on the plate begin to dry!
6. Roll your stamper over the image with a very light touch to lift the image from the plate on to your stamper. Clean away the extra bits of image not needed on your stamper. You can do this with the side of your scraper, a piece of scotch tape or your Sticky Pad. Scotch tape can also be useful to remove unwanted transferred images off the nail if required.
7. Apply image to the nail. Do not use too much pressure. It is important to move quickly! If the image dries on the stamper head, you might struggle to transfer it to the nail. Press and hold on the nail to transfer.
8. If you are creating a layered image, repeat these steps until your image is complete.
9. Clean up time! Remove the PROtect, if used. and do any clean up required with one of your CJS clean up brushes.
10. Allow image to dry. They are usually dry enough by the time you've done your cuticle clean up!
11. CjS Topcoat 'Smear Not' will prevent smudging your beautiful creation. If using a regular topcoat, please float your topcoat/gel topcoat over the nail and allow to cure. Please don't wipe topcoat on, as floating is much safer. This is important so that you don't streak your design. We don't want to ruin that gorgeous design we've just created!
